Mercedes to auction off last McLaren SLR Roadster

Mercedes are offering their Yank customers a last chance to own an SLR McLaren Roadster. According to them, this car would be the only SLR to be painted in Sienna Pearl metallic paint and having Tobacco Brown leather.
The auction begins November 20 at 1 p.m. EST and ends that night at 5 p.m. Bidding starts at $529,500, and anything above that will go to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The upcoming E-Class, the W212

These are shots of the new E-Class which is codenamed W212 and it will be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will have a have a more sculpted wide-frame grille and a sportier stance.
There will be loads of new features in the driver control department, such as lane-departure warnings, eye movement monitor, traffic sign identification, road-condition sensors and stability control that accounts for crosswinds, camber changes and tire wear. The model will be featuring the usual engines, the V6 and V8 units and a normally aspirated 500+ bhp 6.3-litre V8 for the E63 AMG model.
Mercedes-Benz will be abandoning SBC in favour of conventional brakes, but these brakes will be having new features such as wet-weather disc wiping and wheel-selective cornering brake control. The AMG models could also have ceramic-composite discs.
